Snorkeling at La Jolla Cove

Rowdy invited me for an impromptu snorkeling trip to La Jolla Cove my last off friday. I have NEVER gone  snorkeling before. I am scuba certified so I like, know how to do it, but I never before have embraced the pure enjoyment of swimming about with fins. It was so fun. It was also a beautiful spot. If you remember, this is where I went Kayaking with Alex for his birthday.

I had a blast hanging out with Rowdy.  I also had fun taking fun and unique go-pro photos. Man I wish gopros had the photo quality of a basic point and shoot, but they do have the cool effect of something I developed myself.

There  were lots of garibaldi. Its our state fish!

Neat fisheye effect here.

One of the Kayak almost took me out. My how the tides have turned.

We went inside the cove.

Lots of seal. I was worried about them attacking me. At one point a seal got within 3 feet of me. It was scary and amazing.

This seal is enjoying the simple pleasure of sunlight on his face.

This is me having so much fun snorkeling

A bird.

I can't wait to go again!
