Death Valley and Telescope Peak

Death Valley and Telescope Peak

I had so much fun visiting Death Valley and Telescope Peak this October. I explored badwater basin, artists palette, and did the 14 mile hike overlooking both the highest and lowest points in the lower 48 states known as Telescope peak. Telescope Peak is also the highest point in death valley. I saw some things that were just so DV.

More photos after the jump.

Let me walk you through these photos:

I thought about this guy a lot. He did things like wore a wet rag over his face and smoked through the mask. It was so unbelievable I thought it was a prank.

I sat with this view for about 20 minutes.

We saw badwater Basin:

and I loved how there was an overlook displaying sealevel. Look closely and you can see it in the photo below:

This photo is through our windshield going into the camping area at the base of the hike.

I Love this photo of artists palette. It was just so beautiful out there.

I took this photo through our telescope!

And now we start the Hike

We had a telescope on top of telescope peak!

The next few photos are of Owens Dry Lake. They irrigate water through there to prevent a dust bowl, and the water offers a beautiful reflection of the sierras. I love how the water reflects pink and purple.
